This section introduces general TV dramas for adults (excluding children’s dramas). Ishinomori produced a lot of manga for adults. Many TV dramas based on Ishinomori’s works were produced (although not as many as live-action dramas) for young people who did not watch hero dramas any more and for adults. The first series of Hotel, produced in the nineties, achieved wide success lasting until the 5th series in 2003. It is accepted as being a typical Ishinomori drama.
This page includes comment on dramas produced in the seventies. Flower Action Zero Zero Kunoichi; Spy Android Girl was produced in 1969, but is included in this seventies section due to a reason of layout, because only one TV drama based on Ishinomori’s work was produced in the sixties.
